re: Publishing Is Changing...

There are tens of millions of books in the Public Domain. Because of that, finding great content for products that will actually sell TODAY can be extremely challenging and take FOREVER. Over the past 15 years of searching for and using Public Domain content for products of all types, I have found that it is extremely important to establish boundaries for the content you need rather than just randomly find “cool stuff” and hope for the best. Without these boundaries, you WILL end up wasting a lot of time and effort and STILL possibly come up empty-handed (ask me how I know)!

When you focus your searches on content that people are actually searching for...content they need...THAT is when you will begin to see results rather than wasted time! It sounds simple, yet this has been an ongoing stumbling block for so many trying to use content from the Public Domain. 

It is easy to SAY there’s tons of useable content available in the Public Domain, but reality can paint a much different picture if you don’t understand what you actually SHOULD be searching for!

There are a LOT of books in the Public Domain that you will NEVER be able to use...EVER!

Sure, there are over 85 Million books in the Public Domain just in the United States alone. It sounds impressive to say that, but the reality is that many of those books NEED TO STAY forgotten. They have historical value for sure, but often offer very little in terms of useable content for today’s world! That said, there are STILL millions of book GEMS available in the Public Domain that are simply PURE GOLD! It is THESE books that we want to discover and reinvent!
